Prophet Sharing Venture: Create prophecy - don't live prediction!

As we approach 2012 when many are speaking about the predictions of Nostradamus, Edgar Cayce, the Mayan Calendar, the book of Revelations and many more, I like to remember two of the principles I learned from visionary activist, Caroline Casey:

‘It is better to create prophecy than live prediction’ and

‘Imagination lays the tracks for the Reality Train.’

Predictions are often based on the extrapolation of what would happen if we continued to feel, believe, think and act in a certain way: often leading to a low road scenario.

One place in which I experienced the results of creating prophecy instead of living the predicted path was in my native South Africa.
High road and low road scenarios were imagined and discussed by influential business and political leaders in the 1980’s.  Instead of the predicted path of a bloodbath being the only way for the policy of apartheid to change, these leaders imagined what empowered change might look like, and boldly built tracks for the reality train of Mandela’s release, free and fair elections for all, and began imagining what a new South Africa might embody.
The Truth and Reconciliation Processes was put in place for people to tell their stories; to imagine what world they would be creating if they continued to live these stories; and to imagine what story they could start living that would help to create a better world.

Back to 2012 and instead of predictions, I propose that we create prophecy using the energy of these times.  I propose that what we’ve read until now are low road scenarios.  I’d like us to imagine high road scenarios.

To illustrate this I propose using a storystrology lens. Today we will look at two characters: archetypes.  Each of these ‘characters’ is traveling through a different land, and as we know, when we travel through different places, we ‘shape-shift’ to both honor the place and to ‘fit in’ and be comfortable.  Finally, I will invite you to imagine how these energies can be used in a potentially more balanced and constructive manner.

Our first character thrives on innovation and break through. The old has to be broken for the new to arise. Some say this creates chaos. Notice that energy, networks and technology are important to this revolutionary intuitive. This collage illustrates characteristics of our Promethean archetype.

This character is traveling through the land of pioneers and heroes: the land where bold, independent action is celebrated.
Meet our second character: the merciless change agent.
“What no longer serves, has to go!”

What makes this energy so frightening to many is that this change is fundamental – the caterpillar becomes the butterfly.

And this powerful change agent entered the Land of Traditional Manifestation in 2008 and will stay here until 2024.
Traditional strategies and stereotypes of success, performance and responsibilities are being investigated and transformed by this powerful change agent. This is also the land of BIG business, banks, government and traditional structures.

As you can see this sets a story of  ‘Things are Changing in a BIG Way’. Visionaries like Teilhard de Jardin, Sri Auribindo, Peter Russell, and Barbara Marx Hubbard to mention but a few, have used their imaginations and the intuitive breakthroughs that arise out of deep silence to create a  new reality track: a vision of a noosphere, a global brain, an interconnected world. If we can allow this transformation consciously with open hearts, we can create new structures, using technology and what we are discovering about energy, that will empower and enrich a far greater whole.

The Sun: your fuel

Since most people know their sun sign, we will begin with the sun.

The sun is what fuels all life on our planet. It is what energizes. Creates. Sustains. Too little results in poor or no growth. Too much can create a drought. The same is true of people: when we know what fuels us, we can make choices that lead to a creative and productive life.

In astrology, the sun is the story of the hero within. It is also the essence of your inner hero. Your inner hero might be practical grounded and material (earth), focus on feelings and connections (water), think and talk and plan a lot (air) or be creative and passionate (fire). Each of our inner heroes have talents and challenges.

The gifts and challenges are unique. Your astrological chart gives you a skeleton. Through the choices you make, you give this skeleton a unique body, persona and create relationships with others. You breathe life into a unique and ever changing being.

Not only is your Sun in a particular element (fire, air, water, earth) and sign (virgo, leo, scorpio etc) it is in a particular house. The houses give us hints as to the area in our lives where we might use this energy most effectively. There are twelve main areas. Examples include your body, your home, your roots/ancestors, relationships, career.

Your Sun also has specific relationships with other inner characters. Your inner hero might be in a harmonious relationship with your inner teacher but may be in a very challenging dance with your inner critic. 'Know[ing] thyself' and making conscious choices to make the most of who you are is one of the benefits of using an astrology lens.

At various times your inner hero faces challenges or is given a boost in some way. Again knowing the terrain of what your inner hero is likely to face in a given time period can help equip you to make more considered choices.

What do you know about your inner hero? What is unique about your story?

Makemake discovered: Abundance mirror?

MakeMake, pronounced MAH-keh MAH-keh, is named after the Polynesian creator of humanity and the god of fertility.

Originally designated 2005 FY9, the object was nicknamed "Easterbunny".

While astronomer Brown was doing research about Rapa Nui, also known as Easter Island, in the South Pacific for prospective names, he learned of the creator and fertility god, Makemake.

Coincidentally at the time Brown’s wife was also pregnant.

"I am partial to fertility gods," Brown said, "I have the distinct memory of feeling this fertile abundance pouring out of the entire Universe. Makemake was part of that. Makemake was ‘discovered’ in 2005. It is one of three plutoids: Pluto and Eris being the other two. (from space.com)

These bodies are found beyond Neptune (17x size of earth) in the Kuiper Belt.

Haipule weaves an astrological possibility- mirror for us earthlings?

When did you first begin noticing a lot of talk around going beyond our imagination (Neptune) and manifesting our creative impulses (Makemake)?

From our imagination make, make, your dreams come true.

Many astrologers postulate that as our consciousness expands so the mirrors in astrology expand, and we come to see more bodies out there that reflect this expansion of consciousness.

The Secret came to Rhonda Byrne at the end of 2004 and in 2005 they created what was launched as a video on the internet in 2006. Just a coincidence that at the same time Makemake is discovered?

Endings and transformations: Pavarotti, Pluto and Saturn

Saturn: Archetype of endings and karma. The grim reaper. Death. Limitations. Reality police. Responsibility.
Pluto: Archetype of death and rebirth. Powerful transformation. Phoenix. Caterpillar to butterfly.
Saturn and Pluto feature in a number of cycles in Pavarotti’s charts.

Saturn in Pavarotti's Birth chart
An end to the way he presents himself to the world can be seen as transiting Saturn is moving through Pavarotti’s first house - the area of persona, and how others see him.
Transiting Saturn is also opposite his natal Saturn. A Saturn opposition often indicates a time for a reality check, and the time when we reap what we have sown.

Saturn in Pavarotti's Progressed chart
An ending (Saturn) to Pavarotti's inner unfolding essence (progressed Sun). In his progressed chart (indicates inner world unfolding), Pavarotti's essence or Sun is at 0 degrees Capricorn. This is the exact position of transiting Saturn at the time of Pavarotti's death.

Pluto in Pavarotti's Birth chart
In Pavarotti’s chart this death/transform energy reinforces the ending and karma energy of Saturn. ‘Truths’ that no longer served him had to go. (Natal Pluto 27 Cancer quincunx transiting Pluto at 26 Sagittarius)
Pluto in Pavarotti's Solar Return Chart
Solar Return charts describe the energies to be dealt with in a particular year. In Pavarotti's Solar Return chart from his birthday on 12 October 2006, Pluto is in the area of his chart showing death and transformation. In the Solar Return Chart for 2007 (many astrologers hold that a Solar return chart is 'active' three months before and after a birthday) Pluto (radical transformation) is conjunct the Ascendant (How others perceive him).
